Join Patrick Grant, host of the Great British Sewing Bee, for an evening of craft, creativity and conversation.

Patrick will take you behind the scenes of the Sewing Bee workroom, through Saville Row and on a journey to understanding what it means to craft and be creative in today’s world.

He will explore how our relationship with clothing has gone wrong in ways we barely notice: 100 billion garments produced every year, a third of them never worn, and the equivalent of a bin lorry full of clothes burned or buried every single second. But his argument is not nostalgic. It’s personal, economic, and quietly radical – about what gets lost when price becomes the only measure of value, and what might be recovered when it isn’t.

With the chance to ask Patrick your own questions, expect an evening about craftsmanship, creativity, and the joy of art in a world increasingly held together by Polyester and wishful thinking.
