The Green Room

Head to the Green Room Restaurant and Café at the Marlowe for an all-day selection of locally sourced food and drinks.

We’re open from 10am daily, serving coffee (from the award-winning Garage Coffee Roasters) and baked treats from Canterbury Bakery. Eat in to enjoy free Wi-Fi and great Cathedral views, or take away.

Lunch is served from 12pm, with a frequently changing seasonal menu centred on produce from a host of trusted local suppliers.

Dinner service begins from two and a half hours before curtain-up, with pre-show dinner costing £25 for two courses or £31 for three – and you can even save your dessert for the interval. See a sample menu here.

Special menus

Our Family Menu is served during the runs of daytime family shows at the Marlowe – everything from light bites to two- and three-course meals. With any paying adult, children eat for just £1, with high chairs on request. See a sample menu here.

Our Panto Menu is on offer during panto season – everything from breakfast muffins at morning shows to a full two and three-course menu for pre-show dinner. Once again, children eat for only £1 with a paying adult. See a sample menu here.

The Green Room can get busy on show days, we recommend booking your table in advance.

Theatre bars

You can order a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks from the bars on all three levels of our building. Avoid the mid-show rush by pre-ordering your interval drinks. Our bars open from XXX–WHEN?
